On the salty road to love I walk
The rugged trail with many a rock
I lift my eyes to see who’s there
The empty sky with a dusty glare.
My hearts desire to once again feel
a soft gentle touch, my fate to seal
I kick a stone, as I walk alone
On the salty trail, without a home
Lost, I struggle beneath darkened skies.
The salty trail leading from my eyes
My heart like a stone, chipped and cracked
On the salty road, there’s no turning back.
Alone I struggle, with this heavy load
In search of love, on the salty road
