The Candle

Through the openness of one’s closed eyes
I see the light filled with sultry lies

And without love to transgress my sin
I see the desolation as downward I spin

The darkness of life and desolate love
Alone I hide from life given from above

Not knowing the candle was lit alone
Burning away from God’s high throne

The melting wax like tears falling down
In this seductive world, I’ll slowly drown
